Playhouses For CASA
CASA of Lexington has partnered with the Lexington Fire Department to create a playhouse replica of the Lexington Fire Department Headquarters.  This playhouse will be raffled off in 2010 but in the meantime will be at various locations throughout town on display. Below are pictures of the actual Lexington Fire Department Headquaters and of the playhouse. The Fire Department has done a great job with this!
Please join CASA of Lexington and the Lexington Fire Department at either of these events!

Cultural Lunch Fridays
Join us on Fridays as we explore the food and cultural experiences of some of Lexington's more exotic eateries! Our weekly outings not only give us a  chance to learn more about the community we serve, but it also provides a chance for current volunteers to bond and receive support as well as for potential volunteers to learn more about what CASA is all about.  All are welcome and we hope that you will join us to learn more about CASA and to explore the cultural and culinary diversity that Lexington has to offer!

2009 Light of Hope Candlelight Vigil

Even a little rain could not stop the nearly 150 people who attended this candles.jpgyear's vigil. Beautiful performances by members of the Lexington Singers Children's Choir and the SCAPA orchestra perfectly accompanied the moving speech given by Margie Cherry, a social worker and former child-in-care. Eight new CASA volunteers were sworn in at the event and all were given time to reflect on those children who have been abused and neglected and to renew our plight to help prevent such atrocities from occurring in the future.
